I started my job as a hairstylist this month, and luckily...I get a nice discount on products. Unfortunately, hair products are the only thing I buy anymore. This November, I picked up a couple products, that I never knew my hair actually thirsts for.
So far, my absolute favorites are; Redken Duo Shield 07, It's a 10 Miracle Leave In spray, Matrix Biolage Hydrotherapie shampoo and conditioner, Matrix Biolage Colortherapie Shine Spray.
I'm going to start off with my holy grail product, Redken Duo Shield 07. First off, this product smells fantastic. As for what it does; Duo shield is a heat-activated thermal protectant. It protects color and provides blinding shine to your mane. I definitely recommend this for all types of hair. It's imperative that everyone uses heat protectant.
2nd product is the It's a 10 Miracle Leave In spray. It conditions, repairs damaged split ends, detangles (just about everything you can ask for in a hair product). I put this in after every shower to make sure my hair is protected during the day. This also smells amazing.
On to the Matrix products. I have a dry scalp during the winter, and dealing with it is a huge pain..but after my manager recommended the Biolage Hydrotherapie line, I haven't had a problem since. To be honest..I was never big on hair, hair care, hairstyles.. I just like to color it every color of the rainbow and make it look presentable. After I let my manager cut about 4 inches off, i realized that hair care is extremely important. Now back to the Biolage Line..Hydrotherapie isn't something I was unfamiliar with. I've used this line before, but it's extremely expensive. So I went back to using drug store products until I was reunited with this amazing line. Biolage has to be my absolute favorite smelling product. I can't really explain what the scent is..but i would smell it all day if I could. This line is very hydrating, and nourishes my dry scalp. It gets rid of flakes and all that disgusting stuff.
About the Biolage Colortherapie Shine Spray, I like this product; but in small dosages. It smells good and all, but I feel like it started making my hair feel stiff...even though it's not a hair spray. I wouldn't really say it's a favorite, because I can think of a few better shine products, but it gets a 3/5 stars in my book.
Definitely get out there and try atleast one of these products. Healthy hair is happy hair!
